Cations
Fine Art Print
This was my first poster done to promote a (fictitious) play.
Not everyone gets this one, so I’ll offer a quick explanation. Cations are positively charged ions. Ions are just atoms or molecules with an electrical charge. Negative ions are anions, but that word can’t be made into something funny involving cats, so I’ll ignore it.
I added cat ears to the little blue spheres with chemical symbols that represent various ions to make them cute.
It’s pronounced “cat ions”, not something that rhymes with “station”.
This image was originally done digitally.
All my fine art prints are rendered on archival paper with archival ink, so they will stand the test of time.
This print comes in an 8×10 mat and will fit a standard 8×10 frame. Mat colors may vary. I always try to pick colors that compliment the artwork.
Subject to stock on hand, I can sometimes do custom mat colors upon request.
The edition size for this print is limited to 50 copies, plus up to 5 similar artist’s proofs.
Limited edition prints are hand signed and numbered. Once they sell out, no more will be made.
The website and copyright watermarks are for display on the web only and not part of the print image.
