Tiny Fangs III is a spoof movie poster about the third episode of a horror series about a very vicious and deadly kitten. Presumably at the end of Tiny Fangs II (can a fictitious movie have an ending?) the horrible kitten was confined to a cat carrier.
So long as no one opens the carrier the world is safe. But of course that won’t happen. Someone is going to open it. Right?
Of course someone will open it. It’ll probably happen within the first ten minutes of Tiny Fangs III. Then all manner of bad things will happen. The ferocious kitten will be on the loose once again. Chaos will reign! Oh, no!
A lot of horror movie plots wouldn’t work if people didn’t do dumb things. Right? So go ahead. Open the carrier. I dare you.
The person who lets the vicious little critter out is probably the first one who’s going to get it. Of course. But will that stop anyone? No, never. Hmm. Letting this little creature out is probably a really bad idea. Let’s try it!
Maybe I’m being too hard on my own fake movie. It might be slightly more intelligent if there were some accident that causes the carrier to open. Maybe someone drops it. Or maybe it falls off a table or something. Let’s hope it’s something like that. It won’t really change anything, but it would be somewhat better. Right?
Some people have told me that the fine print is the best part. It reads: “May encourage cats to be even more reluctant to go to the vet. View with extreme caution. Based on the new original screenplay, ‘The Carrier Opened in the Car’ by Idun Laughstit.”
Tiny Fangs III is a digital illustration done in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Each Tiny Fangs III print is hand signed and hand numbered out of a run of 50. Once they are sold out, no more will be run.
The print comes mounted in a 8″ x 10″ archival mat with backing board. All of my prints are matted to standard frame sizes for ease of framing.
I cut my own mats. The mat colors may vary depending on what I have in stock but I always pick something that compliments the artwork. Generally for Tiny Fangs III I use black, and that’s what I would recommend. If you place an order and would like a specific mat color, send me a note and I will try to accommodate you. For Tiny Fangs III I usually use a single mat. The print itself is about 6″ x 8″, which leaves an approximate 1″ border on the sides and bottom.
Prints are protected by a clear plastic archival bag that guards against moisture and minor scratches. I recommend leaving the print inside the bag until it is transferred to a frame.
