Tiny Fangs is a spoof movie poster promoting a blockbuster horror film about a bloodthirsty but cute evil kitten. This was the second poster-style image I did after Death Kittens, and the first to feature fine print at the bottom.
Some people have told me that the fine print is the best part. It reads: “Not suitable for cats under six months. May cause extreme disgust, nausea, and a strong desire for a refund. Based on the new original screenplay, ‘Fuzzy Anklebiters’ by Ukantbi Cerios.”
This is a digital illustration done in Photoshop.
Prints of this image have been sold out for some time, but there are a small number of artist’s proofs still available. Each Tiny Fangs artist’s proof is hand signed and numbered. Artist’s proofs are similar to a print but may vary a bit in color or brightness from the regular production prints. Once they are sold out, no more will be run. This is not something I generally send out to shows, so the only place to get one is here on the website.
The artist’s proof comes mounted in a 8″ x 10″ archival mat with backing board. All of my artist’s proofs are matted to standard frame sizes for ease of framing.
I cut my own mats. The mat colors may vary depending on what I have in stock but I always pick something that compliments the artwork. Generally for Tiny Fangs I use black, and that’s what I would recommend. If you place an order and would like a specific mat color, send me a note and I will try to accommodate you. For Tiny Fangs I usually use a single mat. The artist’s proof itself is about 6″ x 8″, which leaves an approximate 1″ border on the sides and bottom.
Artist’s proofs are protected by a clear plastic archival bag that guards against moisture and minor scratches. I recommend leaving the artist’s proof inside the bag until it is transferred to a frame.
