Kitty Roger (white) is a drawing of a cat skull and crossbones. I did this image so that I could include it in Catbeard, but I thought it also worked well on its own. This version has a white background like the original.
I did research and found images of cat bones before starting on this image. I tried to make the cat skull and femurs as accurate as possible. This was something of a departure for me, but I like the way it turned out.
The original drawing is done in graphite pencils on 2-ply Bristol vellum.
Each Kitty Roger (white) print is hand signed and hand numbered out of a total run of 50. Once they are sold out, no more will be run.
The print comes mounted in a 5″ x 7″ archival mat with backing board. All of my prints are matted to standard frame sizes for ease of framing.
I cut my own mats. The mat colors may vary depending on what I have in stock but I always pick something that compliments the artwork. Generally for Kitty Roger (white) I use black and that’s what I would recommend. If you place an order and would like a specific mat color, send me a note and I will try to accommodate you. For Kitty Roger (white) I usually use a single mat. The print itself is about 5″ x 3″, which leaves an approximate 1″ border on the sides and bottom.
Prints are protected by a clear plastic archival bag that guards against moisture and minor scratches. I recommend leaving the print inside the bag until it is transferred to a frame.
