Indecision II is another spoof movie poster in the Indecision series. This one is about a cat that seemed to finally make up its mind to go in or out, then came back again. Cats do love to sit in open doorways, don’t they?
Like the original, I based Indecision II on a photo of a doorway. Then I did a whole bunch of stuff in Photoshop to make it look different. I changed the floor. I drew a threshold. The background is completely new.
That is the same door I used in the original picture, by the way. I took a new photo from a different angle. I didn’t want the new picture to be a direct copy of the old one.
Is there another cat in there? Maybe there is. Is it a ghost cat? I’ll leave that up to you. I got the idea when I was drawing the background clouds. One of the clouds looked like it had ears. It was an accident, but I went with it. I drew some glowing eyes in the appropriate places.
The shadow cat is back for this sequel, too. You still can’t see him or her. Still, you know that the cat is just on the other side of that open doorway. Will that cat ever finally decide to come in? Or go out? Personally I’d like to shut the door on all that ominous looking stuff outside.
People sometimes tell me that the fine print is the best part. This one reads: “It’s amazing that someone thinks you can base one movie on the idea of cats sitting in doors, much less two. Based on the unoriginal screenplay, ‘Stubborn, Stubborn Cat,’ by Hori ‘Bull’ Riytur.”.
This is a digital illustration done in Photoshop.
